#60 & a Largie!!!

I'm guessing that this Large Cent is one of three. Any of you guys can hazard an educated guess, give me a shout.

Both! In the same woods again! The Largie a real good distance from the Rosie and the Rosie about 20 feet from yesterday's 36 Merc. Got some other stuff but just a piece of a pocket knife and 1 wheat.

Now I'm going to grill some burgers and dogs!!!

Have fun out there and HAPPY HUNTING!!!

Whoa 60 and a large cent. That's crazy. I can't tell from the pictures which largie it is. You're on an amazing site for sure.

ODF\Ed, congratulations on both, very nice recoveries indeed.
My guess is the middle one, good luck cleaning it.

I hit a scraped area but only rescued two wheat cents but it was fun

ODF , congrats . Those are some awesome finds. Makes me sick I have to work so much and can barely get out right now.

I have 3 best friends. Their names are Ace 350 , AT Pro ,  and a Fisher F 75 but I like people too.

I played around with your LG cent photo in my picture editing program ED

and from what I can tell in comparison to the 4 types of Largies made

I'd say based on the nose shape (long and sharp angle) and the hair pattern

it's the later of the 3 you show (the Young Head type = made from 1835 - 1857).

Pretty cool no matter but that's my best educated/comparative guesstimate.
