Another GREAT video and FABULOUS hunt RON!!! YesBeer Congrats to the both of you. Love that 1892 IH in such good shape and those buckles and buttons. Looks like they're not kidding about the drought there in CA. I really don't know if I'd dig 12 inches down in that kind of soil here but see that it can pay off!! Like the way you wrap up the video with the pics flying in but missed that pocket watch frame Mark dug up. Keep em coming!!!!

Excellent finds
In the video, the button from Peru dated to 1950?
I was wondering if that was supposed to be 1850.
Thanks for sharing!

Yeah that Coat of Arms was created in 1820 and they used that Coat of Arms design until 1950.  So to be fair I had to put that date in there.  I am pretty confident that that button dates 1840-70's but without knowing 100% I put the range of that Coat of Arms design.

The Eagle I button dates to the Mexican War and research showed that the house site owner was an Officer in the Mexican War. Officers had Silver Plated buttons. No doubt all these relics belonged to this guy and we know who he is.  That is pretty cool in my world!!   I am writing a small article about the tie in.

I agree, when you can tie a relic to a person that is about as good as it gets.

Steve and Rosemary at W&E Treasures asked for a couple articles so I am trying to put a few things together.  Hopefully they will publish the one about relics.  I still have to put some pics together and send it to them so it will be  while.
