Another productive marathon hunt!

And by marathon, I mean my type of marathon lol. (23 minutes of digging pleasure) The button/cartwheel hole had a facelift once again. The owner moved a bit of dirt around and I just had to take advantage of it. The area he plowed is very small, about 15'×15'. It's amazing just how many coins and buttons were in the ground both in the cellar hole and around the lip. Today I pulled a flat button, pair of scissors, what I belive to be an iron barrel band, 1799 George III Penny in decent shape, a Dutch 1771 Skilling (my second one from 2 different sites) and a roached George II half penny. He is going on vacation this week, but when he gets back, he is moving the entire pile of earth and spreading it. I should hopefully have something to post after that hunt! Thanks for looking and HH

I thought I was the only one who had 23 minute marathon hunts
Tongue . The big difference is your hunts produce great finds!  2 items from the 1700s in 23 minutes would have me going to the ER with chest pains. I guess it is about 3 things , location , location and location.
   Keep up the great "work".

Haha thank you. Yes you're absolutely right, it's all about location. All 3 coins are 1700s. The roached one is the oldest (1729-1754)

Congratulations on the nice finds Relicmedic! Amazing how all that stuff was in such a small area. You really sniffed it out.
I heard once, a big mistake made by many is thinking that spot over there is better, rather than concentrate on the ground in front of them. I'm guilty of this sometimes.

Thanks for sharing. Gl HH.
