So many times on this site we talk about the history behind our finds; like who lost an item and what were the circumstances. What was the person like etc? This is a real backstory and a poignant one too--almost like a ghost story. I have often said that MDing is like time traveling and I believe it now more than ever. Thanks for this one Zach, really liked it.

Wow, that is an incredible find! If they could return that (and the photos) to the Veteran's family, I think it would be the gift of a lifetime. I doubt it would ever be sold, but, if it was, Ed's right, the provenance will help it fetch a lot more on the open market.

Wow, that is an exciting find for sure. Thanks for sharing this article.
My dad's unit was somewhere in that battle so that is very cool to me.

What a great story , I am amazed the film did not get destroyed over so many years.
