To an 1860s site with a NEL 6.5x9.5" sniper coil on her,

found a couple goodies.

The CW era Token is one I've found before (a few times) but this one is strange being that it is holed "twice"??

Seems I found a tiny weight to a scale of some sort too.

Some pistol balls, Large Cent, a cool little suspender clasp thing, etc.

Anyhow - it was good fun to get reacquainted with an old friend (Etrac #2) and dig a few period items Happy

That right there is a DEADLY hunt, Wayne Beer Beauty of an LC, that buckle is KILLER, and that token is awesome. I can't see the lettering clrearly, what does it say?

Those real tiny wreaths like that one I have seen described as coming from a child doll, or belonging to a very early pre-tied neck cravat, either way, it is certainly period and a very cool discovery!

Wayne, was this an old house site, farm or field? How did you gain permission?

the token says Foster & Parry Grand Rapids Mich -- on the front/obverse

and

Dealer in Stoves, Iron & Hardware - wholesale & retail -- on the back/reverse

found at an old homesite that is now a farmfield -- I found the property owner who inherited it from his parents - he told me I probably wouldn't find much as it's been farmed as long as he could remember but to have at it and dig away Big Grin
