Bought Another E-Trac... Took Her Out For A Spin Today :)

To an 1860s site with a NEL 6.5x9.5" sniper coil on her,

found a couple goodies.

The CW era Token is one I've found before (a few times) but this one is strange being that it is holed "twice"??

Seems I found a tiny weight to a scale of some sort too.

Some pistol balls, Large Cent, a cool little suspender clasp thing, etc.

Anyhow - it was good fun to get reacquainted with an old friend (Etrac #2) and dig a few period items Happy

HH all,

That right there is a DEADLY hunt, Wayne Beer Beauty of an LC, that buckle is KILLER, and that token is awesome. I can't see the lettering clrearly, what does it say?

I would LOVE to be your detector dealer. The guy is probably gonna retire to a private island because of your business alone!!! Chuckle

Nice finds!
Those real tiny wreaths like that one I have seen described as coming from a child doll, or belonging to a very early pre-tied neck cravat, either way, it is certainly period and a very cool discovery!

Wayne, was this an old house site, farm or field? How did you gain permission?

Joe

the token says Foster & Parry Grand Rapids Mich -- on the front/obverse

and

Dealer in Stoves, Iron & Hardware - wholesale & retail -- on the back/reverse

found at an old homesite that is now a farmfield -- I found the property owner who inherited it from his parents - he told me I probably wouldn't find much as it's been farmed as long as he could remember but to have at it and dig away Big Grin

That's hilarious! You should be so blessed as to hunt other properties "where you probably won't find much" Yes
