No ED you were right first time, I am Australian, it just so happens that au stands for Gold and Australia.

I have been over in the UK for a few years, but I will head for home one day.

Welcome from an envious person in SE Michigan. Detecting in Europe would be quite a thrill , but alas I am too poor to do it.
I look forward to seeing some of your finds.

Welcome from NE ohio also I so wish we could find 3,000 year old finds here but arrow heads don't beep on any of my detectors. I'm happy finding anything 50+ years old and round in the hole!

Let me add another welcome from the US. You sound like a friendly chap, so you'll fit right in here. Lots of neat characters on this site. The prospect of finding a 3000 year old relic has most of us salivating. Around here 100 years is old - 200 is ancient!
