Cool.  You got your  first cup find.  Does look like a camp cup.  Aluminum?  Big aluminum things like cans will hit like coins.  They will hit deep too.

I kinda thought it was. That's a campsite there Sam. Find that fire pit again and start doing circles around it well out to at least 50 feet. And remember. There may be trees fully grown now that were just saplings when that fire was burning. So take extra care to do around them. The roots will either grow over stuff left behind or the tree will push it out and away from the tree. A cup like that is from the early forties to well into the 70's. So you've got a good site to play around with. Might have even been a hobo camp from the depression.
