Hi, I'm Frankn. My primary interest is cache hunting. I deal in reality. This is the basis of cache hunting. That is separating the facts from the fiction.  I am currently working on The Lost cache of Wolf Run. It is based on a booklet that is given away on TI. Anyone else hitting this one?

Welcome Frankn

I have read a little about the cache you mentioned but simply do not have the time to dedicate to such a treasure hunt.

Good luck!!

Cache hunters don't talk about there big finds because to many are waiting to claim them.  What they talk about most are the ones they didn't find.
---- I went up to Dents Run to look for the gold bars that went missing from a Union wagon train. I spent a few months in research and found a few holes in the story like the officer that headed up the convoy was listed in the records as being stationed out west. I went up several times and found out the place was a logging camp with a rail spur line at one time. I stopped and had breakfast with the locals and got the story. Someone wrote a book about the old tail and was going around giving talks to promote the book. The parks dept picked up on the publicity and circulated maps showing the trail the wagon took and the 'ambush' site and where a part of a gold bar was found. I found another hunter that had spent 12 years combing the area with a highly customized detector and found nothing. Needless to say, I crossed this one off my list.  Frank...
