The ML 705's are GREAT machines! They are single frequency units, BUT, you can change the frequency the detector operates on by changing the coil. Different frequencies respond to different items (coins, jewelry, etc.) in an assortment of ways. So, by having the ability to change coils (as well as the operating frequency) you up the odds of finding a wider range of treasure versus if you use a single frequency detector Wink

It's a very light unit, so, you can hunt for many hours without fatigue, it's one of the better priced units in the ML family & gets excellent depth.

As always, do your research before buying, but, I don't think you can go wrong with ANY Minelab...I swing one myself Wink

I have a different model. I swing a Safari. Love it! Turn-on-and-go, great tones, and just destroys silver Happy
