You are right Leo. A rich patina adds character to many historical items. Thought the medal looked familiar; then I glanced at a shadowbox just above my desk where my Dad's medals and ribbons are kept. There it was with ribbon attached, just like he got it some 70 years ago. Nice find and thanks for reviving a memory.
