Question for V3i or DFX users
Quote this message in a reply
I'm considering a smaller coil than the stock 10". I'm considering a 6x10 but don't know how much difference to expect. I think the 4x6 may be a bit on the small side but looking at it too. Is there a considerable depth difference from stock 10" to the 6x10 and is the separation that much different? I hunt some trashy areas but don't want to give up the great depth I'm getting with stock coil.

Hey bigred! I don't own or use your detector but figured I'd give my opinion while ya waited for some more experienced ones. But I do own 3 different coils for my detector!

I'd say it wouldn't be noticeable for the depth, much at all. Very minimal.

As for separation, its almost half the width. So I'd personally say you'd get quite a noticeable amount of seperation.

If you have the extra cash and others agree and have good things to say, I'd say go for it! As you mentioned you hunt trashy areas. I personally think you would benefit. Best of luck.

That about what I figured too but would like other options from those who have this setup. I'm also considering a SEF 6x8 or 5x10 if anyone can give a review on either of these as well.
