Hello guys and gals, I was able to get out today, sun was just right for a two hour late afternoon hunt, then I got cold as the sun was almost down.
I found the first Washington quarter (1942) in a hole with a strange piece of rusted iron - it's in the photo. Then I heard a coin signal and aluminum - it was a 1906 Indian Head cent with the pull tab also shown in the photo. The 1939 Washington is in a separate photo with my pin pointer. It was a crazy signal and I just had to take that photo. I was too excited.
The Roosevelt dimes weren't bad signals but the 1964 looks like it was just dropped. Funny how some are really not damaged. But I can't say that the signals were good either. Also grabbed up 4 wheat cents, oldest 1919 and 1929 - then two in the 40's.
I love the early spring, no brag just happy.
Oh the earring is 925 and I eyeballed it on the way to the car. It was sitting on top of tree roots at the base of a tree.
Oh, the bullet I believe is from the late 60's. They would give a twenty one gun salute near the flag pole after the ceremony - I guess someone dropped one.
Get out there is you can!

ThanksODF\Ed,
I haven't done that well in a very long time. I got into an area with some trash and some small iron - so it wasn't a really trashy area of the park.
Some days you get the bear!

Thanks Scott. The earring is 925 silver but not very heavy at all. The photo might make it look larger then it is
