Thumbs Up Sidewalk tear out . .
Quote this message in a reply
I hit a local sidewalk tear out about an hour before dark the other day .. 1899 barber dime, been a while since I found a barber. 10K G.F. (gold filled) ring, and assorted junk. Needs to cool off considerably before I'll go out again. It's in the high 80's up this way .. and humid.

Beautiful barber, and nice looking gold, too! Don't think anyone can do better than a silver & gold hunt Yes Try and hit that tearout again before it's covered Happy

That's a great hunt for a tearout. Agree with Joe on this one. Go get em before they grade it out. I'd heard it was pretty hot up there for this time of the year. Going to 92 or 3 tomorrow here and I don't think I'll go out unless it's real breezy. That will be the hottest it's been here so far this year.

Cool finds MN. In the 80's would be freezer like temps down here. 99 , 98 with a heat index of 108-109. Ya it's only July. August is when it gets hot down here.

I have 3 best friends. Their names are Ace 350 , AT Pro ,  and a Fisher F 75 but I like people too.

Agreed! Same here in the N.E. It hasn't been as hot as 98 or 99, but I think we've made it up to 95 or so. This week's gonna be a record breaker, with mid 90"s for about the next 4 days straight. But it ain't the heat, it's the damn humidity. I don't mind sweating a bit at all, but when my entire body is drenched from head to toe in water, and you feel that heaviness in the air, and start having labored breathing, it's time to call it quits. Anything over 90 with high humidity and the only treasure hunt I'm going on is trying to find the channel with the best show airing while I'm laying in the ice cold a.c.
