Silver # 26 & Wheats
Quote this message in a reply
Went back to those two spots in the woods again today but changed my settings and tried that for all day. Found this pristine merc about 8 feet from that campfire I found yesterday with the melted foil globs I posted. She was under some low lying tree limbs where I hadn't searched yesterday and was just at the bottom of the humus at the top of the clay. Then found 2 more wheats about 10 feet from the campfire in another direction. Then hit 2 side by side 1-29 signals with a screamer tone about five feet from where I hit the merc and wound up with 2 clad quarters. One an Arizona state quarter no less. God help me I thought I found 2 silver quarters when the machine went off singing tone.

Found 2 more wheats elsewhere, a ton of can tops, beer bottle caps, wine bottle caps with necks, a huge 6 x 8 chunk of flat chrome, both sides, at 9 inches, that I think may be a camp mirror, and I sweated my ass off digging it up; a few memorials and some other loose change.

Then this religious medallion or token with the saint on one side and some remaining plating on the other. It's just a mm less in size than a quarter and was so covered with stuff I dared not try and clean it in the woods. I thought it may be a 3 center so I tucked it away in my special keepers case to clean later at home.

All this in the woods. (Reason: Shade and peace and quiet!)

Good luck out there you guys and Happy Hunting.

Ed

I agree, that medal with the saint is cool. I can barely make out some text on the back. Looks old, too. And another merc! Nice, Ed Yes

Thanks Simon! No 100%, just 90% and they made a gazillion of them so they're pretty common. In that condition it's worth a Tad over $2 Us.
