I've been detecting for 15 years or so now. I primarily hunt colonial sites, woods and fields. My main detector is a CTX3030. Also have an ATPro and an Excal II, 10" for the beaches.

Most of my last 2 year jewelery haul. Not bad for mainly dirt fishing and hunting lakes.

To me this is my best find. I found a bracelet that the family never knew existed from their father who passed away in 2009. click the link below the pic for the full story.

RE: *Contest Showcase* Win a Predator Digger!
I would have to say one of my best Relic finds is the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) Veterans Medal that was given to Civil War Vets that I found during last season. Reason I'm choosing this is because it's a clear cut example of one of the main reasons most of us detect, which is the story behind the finds...This medal had been given to a man who fought for this country and for it to have been locked away in the ground for however long was not its justifiable resting place. I cherish having it as part of my collection because it's a reminder and a wake up call to those who think we just dig up the ground that Metal detecting is a Kicka$$ hobby

I've found my wife metal detecting 19 years ago, but she will not let me post her picture.  Bandit
