Found this 1790-Netherland-East-Indies-Voc-Copper-Duit-Coin today.Going to put it in oil for a while to see if I can bring out some more details.

Nice find Bob!! Was that second pic after the oil bath? Looks pretty good to me for 1790. They must've had a good mix of metals back then.

I use virgin olive oil and a toothbrush. First picture not that good need a new camera, can't zoom in . Joe it was about 5 inches down in an old field.

Wow awesome coin just looked it up and was very surprised  at no more than what they are selling for on  flea bay ,seems like with that kind of history they would be worth a lot more. What state or region did you find this? Don't find things that old here in Missouri.

I knew it wasn't  any of where around here. The oldest stuff here I've seen found is mid to late 1800's

Amazing find. I'm starting to believe alien metal detectorist from mars or mercury have landed in Arkansas and found all the old coins and took them.
