Well, I've got you beat on the boredom angle, Miller, lol.

I'm a salesman. My company peddles industrial cleaning supplies. Need I say anymore :P

That's why getting out & detecting is good for me...it's the ultimate escape!

I'm a mechanic.

The only bits of metal I find in my job are usually broken pistons or valves! Still, I do have a passion for cars though, so I suppose it makes my job more bearable.

Although to be honest, I'd much rather be paid to go search for treasure!! Cool

Learn how to fix metal detectors instead of cars and you're halfway to your goal Wink

Retails Sales as well for me, but I one day want to run my own business.

In my spare time I like running my own websites and hope that one day I will catch a break with one of those and it will "take off" and become popular... Hang on let me wake up from my dream! Sad

My hat is off to you, sir! My father was a roofer. Seeing him lug 40lb. rolls of tar paper up wobbly ladders, spreading tar over a humongous pitched roof on a blistering hot 90 degree day, and watching how he killed his back after all those years, made me really appreciate what a hard days work truly is Wink

Compared to the day job, swinging a detector 5 or 6 hours at a clip must be like child's play for you :P

Joe

My hats off to your Pops!! That hotmopping is no joke...I kind of evolved into specializing in metal and steep work...plus we have lighter underlayments now...still gets hot, but not as hard as what your Dad did!

Well compared to you all I'm not doing too much! I'm mostly a student, but I also intern for a local business and even started my own investment club which takes up a good chunk of my spare time.
