Another nail in the coffin of JFK I would suspect, Dusty. He had a lot of great ideas and they killed him for it.
Also:

The stage is set for the final inflationary blow-off if that is what our money managers desire.” Knowing as we do now about the Great Inflation of the 1970s, that was an outstandingly good prediction.
