Congrats on some nice keepers!!
Not sure about the monogram button but do know that is is post civil war--actually it is 1890-present.
They did a lot of masonic/Templar stuff so maybe it is tied to that in some way.

They used the name "The Henderson Ames Co." from 1893 to 1933. I'm leaning toward fraternal society.
