Pulled up a paper thin gold colonial era brooch or pin.
there are no visible markings on the front,
front is in pretty bad shape.
the back still has the pin hinge and loop
went to peek in the hole again and saw what looked like an eyeball looking back
up at me. thought i had dug too far.
the second Item is the top nipple of an 18th century British slip ware
ceramic pot lid ... looked just like an eyeball in the hole ...
if anyone can better ID or recognizes the brooch that would be great.
