the area was purchased by the WMD ( water management district )
it is guarded by on site security whom i assist and locked up pretty good.
i actually live in the park.
prior to that for the past 100 years it was a hunting area, so there are tons of bullets i dig up on every hunt. ( there my pop tops ) .
as far as i am told, i am the ONLY detectorist to EVER be allowed to hunt the area.
i believe if i didnt live in the park and assist the security in the monitoring of the area, i would not be allowed to detect it either.
i really got lucky moving to this spot ... otherwise i would be stuck hunting the beach like the other 100 detectorists i see down there.
it is nice to wake up and take a 2 minute walk to a 500 acre
1565 on up era colonial site, and be able to detect it any time i want .
