1500`s VIII Maravedis counter stamped in 1600`s  XII Maravedis  - Spanish colonial era coin  

also pulled up a very fancy gold gilt button, there is no sign of a
back loop ever being on the button, so not sure if it is indeed a button.
ID help welcome on this as well.

and a very tiny button, also gold gilt, has inscription around entire back, not yet readable ..working to clean now.

Merc for sizing only ...
coin rang up at 12-38 on the Etrac

i was pretty excited to pull it up.
it was somewhere around the 8 to 10 inch mark
and showed up on the etrac at  12-38
Its nice to dream ... hopefully its a 1600`s English shilling.
but not to sure, need further research to figure out what it really is
