No makers mark or manufacturer on the back, Leo? Is it a one piece or two? Did you try googling 'P button' and going to images? You might get lucky & find a similar one there to help identify it

Found this doing a google search, Leo. Appears to be from a civil service uniform, Police being the most obvious, and that would explain the 'P'. Looks to be more modern. Check out the link...
