thought  the weather was going to be nice today.
but even 89 with 90+ humidity feels like hell in the woods. ( come on winter )
past month i haven`t been able to be out for more than an hour or two each trip
only worked a tiny 50 ft square area of my site before calling it quits.
once it cools down a bit, i`ll get back to some serious hunting ...
pulled up another flat button, only backmark visible reads  " plated " .
another dropped round ball, some lead buck,  a fired round ball.
a bullet tip, with the outer copper peeling .
a small piece of scrap cast iron with some kind of design on it.
and possibly an old 1930`s Dutons tinners fluid bottle... des pat 89237 ...
pulled up some of the trash from the site as well.
bunch of shot gun shell caps, and other shell casings ...

thanks for peeking ...

i cannot recall the numbers, but the Etrac picked that BB up at about 10 inches
thought that was quite impressinve, just wish it wasnt a BB ... took a sec to find
that little pee in the hole ...
those shot gun caps drive me nuts. the location i hunt was an open hunting area
all the way up till just 20 years ago, so it is littered with all ages of casings, caps, and bullet bits.
funny you mention 1. for every shot gun cap, just recently someone on the forum posted a link to a person selling a " vintage " 1960`s pop top for .99 cents on ebay.
if it sells were all gonna be rich ....
i could fill a bucket of them at the beach in a day ...

I have actually been finding several of those same style in my spot ...
i throw them away usually, there may be a few in some of my older posts, not sure if they made the pics ...
