went out on a club dig for a few hours Sunday ..not much in the way of finds
but managed to get a broken Elizabeth the 1st penny late 1500s couple coppers
and a very knackered jetton

thanks bones Yes....im afraid its not a cut half ..but a broken one Sad  i did spend
a while looking for the other half ..as it looked a fresh break to me and imo it would have been a smashing find if whole ...

ah ... yes i see, gave it a better look. that is a shame. still an amazing find in my opinion. you work a lot of fields and farm land, do you think a plow got ahold of it. .
if so. that other half cant be too far away ...

question, on the upper left quadren of the shield, are those 3 crossbows, or 3 crowns .... those older coins have some interesting stories and information in the designs.

yes im sure the plough broke this as the break looked fresh to me ....
but im afraid i wont get there again this season ..its rolled and seeded now
so no go .......
