These are all I've been using lately on all of my machines.

They have  32ohm rated speakers and unless you HAVE to be wireless or are detecting in a really noisey area I think they're hard to beat. Plus you can wear whatever hat you wish. If you hunt with a hat that has a shade scarf on it , they fit under the drape instead of on top. They come with an inline volume control and the cord is just the right length,,,not too short like lots of light weight phones. Best 20 bucks you can spend on detecting IMO.
They look like a cool design. Funny we all spend much more then twenty bucks - so I have to ask are they durable?
http://www.detecting.us/2014/06/03/headp...eadphones/      this is what they say big tony....."For heat, quiet fields and social hunting the Deus backphones are wonderful.  They have a great dynamic range well matched to the Deus.  But they do not block ambient noises.  You can hear your pinpointer better with these and you can wear a sun-hat in open spaces......"
Ok, thanks - that explains plenty

Here is what I just ordered for my wireless transmitter. It has the apt-x technology (for the lowest latency)

And the Bluetooth headset that is waterproof (great for us sweating this summer or when it rains)

Missed this post earlier bubba but the "review" is pretty close to correct.
As far as durability goes , the story is a little untold. The first set I got broke almost at once at the hinge in back. The story was that XP had come up with a better design and when I e-mailed them for info , Moe gave me a personal call and ended up sending me another pair of wired backphones on the house. I busted the first pair fair and square so I thought that was a pretty nice gesture on their part. Their new sets seem to be a little tougher. The rapoo wireless didn't sound all that good on either the CTX F75 or MXT but the wired backphones sound great on everything I've plugged them into.

I'll be interested to see if you get by the lag issue with the Bluetooth
Dusty, that is the beauty of the apt-x technology. 40ms delay!  No, I'm not a, sales person, but check out the apt-x website and click on "how it works"

I wasn't sure if I could post a url here, so I DON'T want to get into trouble, but it is http://www.aptx.com/howitworks2

There are quite a few headsets to choose from, but I'm going for 1) play or listening time between charges and 2) best bang for the buck and 3) waterproof as an added bonus, with us sweating in the summer. My buddy on the whites forum has like 4 different pair of wireless headsets/earphones.

Ps, the key is LOW LATENCY
