This is the smallest drone on earth. It's capabilities are amazing. I truly think something like this is the future for metal detecting. Imagine the drone being able to survey/process signals (just like a detector) from the air, and marking off a certain perimeter where gold & silver might be hiding. We can then go in with a handheld unit for finer searching. Why not? If I told you 100 years ago that we'd put a man on the moon, I probably would've been the laughingstock.

Star Treks' Galaxy Cruiser Starship Enterprise had a scanner that could determine if living creatures existed on a planet, locate them and transport them to the ship, intact. (Look Ma, No Wires!) Then explore the entire planet for minerals and Lithium crystals. So the drone in the video is not a too far fetched concept as well as your ideas Joe. Although technology today will make us look like Neanderthals 100 years from now, I think by then we'll be able to synthesize a 1857 Seated Quarter from all the information that is swelling the internet. So they'll see our videos and pictures and giggle that we did things the hard way. By then our lust for energy will have to be satiated with something other than fossil, wind, solar and nuclear power. Without energy, we are without. And if they do find the energy answer, they'll be able to give you a "graded" quarter. Or whatever you want.

Man, has it gone that far??? I guess the iPhone has stolen the male imagination and left us with toys to "Get er done.", instead of plain old fashioned lusty daydreaming and Kleenex. LOL!!!
