I found this the other day. The lighting on my work bench stinks sorry for the yellow effect.
It has the look/patina and feel/weight of Lead. I haven't cleaned it yet and wasn't sure if i should.
But as you can see it looks and has the size like a Harmonica Reed.
Was early reeds made from Lead? I understand the lead in brass thing a little.
Any help would be nice.
Maybe I should have started with...OK Ron what is it?

It does look like a harmonica reed.  I don't know.  The only one I have found was aluminum.

Yep Its heavy for what they are. The edges look a bit flaky like pressed lead maybe.

Thats makes sense now.
The first harmonicas (not Hohners) were made in 1822, and used lead reed plates or no reed plates.hand-hammered brass reeds, or other less expensive materials, and hand-carved wood combs. By 1830, harmonicas were being made in the USA and England. The English "Aeolion" had no comb, and was a reed plate and reeds only.
