I saw something about this being about 20 feet deep. Hope they are able to determine for sure what ship this was ,now that would be cool.
That is a great mystery. I see the DEP is already saying it could be any ship but their sending an Archie to check it out. I thought those walls were built by the Army Corp. of Engineers. Maybe they subbed it out. Those walls with the W plates only last about 50 years with saltwater exposure. We have them here in spots along the Lake Erie shoreline, backfilled with concrete to make a nice platform for fishing off shore.

They always said there are a lot of old ships off the coast here in New Jersey.Will have to follow this story for awhile .
