few odd items today.
pulled up a vintage 1909 < . Brass Insurance tag.
" Home Office INTERSTATE Life & Accident Co Chattanooga Tenn. "
also found an odd Dr Scholls brass shoe repair plate thingy. pat date= 3-9-1926
a sterling silver fork Towle Silver Pat. - Silver Mutes .
and a small ornate silver plated spoon - Holmes & Edwards IS .
the back to a pocket watch, might be the back to the watch i found a few weeks ago,
( same location ) ..
two flat buttons, small one has back mark with no text . an odd bubble thingy, possible button.
and a few other odd items ...

Any idea what that Dr Scholls plate was used for.
i just threw it in the junk pile, but it would be interesting to know what it was if anyone knows. ...
i agree Ed, got lucky finding the watch back, found the watch a couple weeks ago.
now its a bit more complete ...

These pieces didnt make the first photo shoot for the day.
but i also pulled up a 40-50 lb sledge hammer head.
and another Iron Iron for Ironing .
toting an extra 50 lbs of iron 2 miles out the woods was no fun, but i kinda like the
sledge head, it will go good with the Ax heads, Pick Ax head, wood splitting mauls, plantation hoes, and other larger iron tools i have pulled up recently ...

I think you are right PBW. the Dr Schols brass plate appears to be the bottom portion to a shoe or boot insert ...
