One can only imagine (and salivate) over what these guys are going to find! On a separate note, how come these people get grants to dig in the dirt...just like us?! Because they have a piece of paper from some expensive, high falutin university?!

That's going to be an interesting dig. I like the fact that they are inviting volunteers to help with the work and the sifting. I'd show up with a metal detector just to tease them. It's not all fanfare and fame being an Archy. But the real reward for them is simply a site like this. To get down in the dirt and discover ancient history like that would be a once in a lifetime experience. And may be the only one those guys and gals will have. I'd sign up in a heartbeat too! But I'd rather swing. I can cover a lot more territory.
