If I knew what it was, but, in all honesty, if I was the one that dug this up, I would've probably thought it was a gaudy hubcap from the 70's, and chucked it in a trash bin somewhere, lol. I remember I saw this on tv a few years ago, but never knew the whole story. Remarkable!

Yes. I saw this a while back. There are others as well. Interesting stuff. They have been surmised as to be a star map, somewhat like a compass of today, to help them travel the continents and wilderness. Just a supposition, because they don't have any facts to back it up.

That is incredible. What an awesome historic find. To bad actions of these type of people in our hobby just help the anti-detector folks with their fight to put a stop to any detecting anywhere. I'm glad they caught and punished them.
