In my expierance with my EXP II - it does not air test very well. I have to be right over the coil to get the tones while bench testing at home. I use the same setting that I would use in the field so I can learn what to listen for.
Other metal detectors air test betterĀ then minelabs do - it is just the way it is.

If you have a dirt garden and you have burried targets then the minelab will do just fine
Yes its always been that way none of the MInelabs really air test good that's a given but they do work great in real life
I can air test a qtr at 12" all day long with any of the Minelabs I have had.

Usually in the house as well about 22-24 on the Sens.

I agree they do better in the ground but they still air test fairly well in my opinion.
Maybe if you have a local dealer near by, you could have them look it over.
i live way too far from dealers...its not a huge deal. I'm sure a quick air test and stuff will cool me down. I just haven't been able to use it in months so I'm probably just being paranoid
