No i havent did any prospecting with the atgold, but i have used the atgold a lot. Wish i didnt sell it. Great machine all around. It is surely capable of gold prospecting tho. Shouldnt have any problems with it prospecting. Make sure to use in all metal and read the manual on how to use the auto ground balance window.
