I used the AA battery case and a a venom brand 3000mah lipo transmitter battery.
I then made a few mods to the battery holder.
As you can see I removed some material and added a pigtail that fit my battery.
I also had to remove the material on the lid of the holder.
Sorry didn't get an after pic.
Then it was just a matter of tucking in the wires and putting the lid back on.
The battery cost me $35 with shipping online and the charger I already had but you can get them on ebay for around $15-20 (3cell lipo balance charger). This battery last 40hr or longer in my V3i and Dfx. I have been using this setup for over a year in my Dfx with no problems. Please before you do this mod yourself do the research and understand the risks of LIPO batteries. This mod while works very well for me may not be for you. This is just my findings, do this only at you own risk. I did this mod because I wanted a lithium battery upgrade and didn't want to spend the $150+ for the only one I found for my machine, no need to mention name brand of it. Hope this helps someone out there as it has me Good Luck and Happy hunting.. Biggredd
P.S. The other good thing about this mod is if the battery go's dead I can still remove it and tuck the pigtail in the front and still use the AA batteries if needed.
