Good story! I'd imagine that Mr. Lane has scratched one off his bucket list in the amateur radio enthusiast category. And you heard Neil Armstrong in your detecting headphones when he was on the Space Shuttle! That's another kinda bucket!

Pretty cool stuff.

Only one time I heard some radio cross talk. It lasted about 20 seconds and I didn't understand what they were saying.

Never happened again to me.
