Rescued a nice Sterling ring a couple of days ago. I was doing a short hunt before going to work. Was at a baseball field that I had searched before. But I wanted to hunt as close as possible to the chain link fence, so I grabbed my CZ3d because it already had the 5 in coil on it. Ring was only about 2 inches down, gave me a loud hit on the CZ. My wife thinks the stone might be jasper ?

Hello larbear, nice going, trying to get into the fringe area is productive.
Congratulations
GREAT FIND LA!!
Those small coils are killers in areas like that. And I agree, looks like a nice specimen of Jasper.

Those CZ"s are DEADLY beasts. One of the WORST things I ever did was sell mine, which I'm still kicking myself over, to this day. I had a 1021 that Tom D. personally calibrated & tested. Certified in FL inert soil to hit a dime at 11.1". Hang on to those CZ"s, they're HOT machines
Beautiful ring! Looks like a hefty sucker, too

Beautiful ring--congratulations!
