That's a real nice one! I've found parts to one like that awhile back but only a whole one, big brass type, just this year after five years of detecting. Still looking for one of those whole!

It's funny because they can be as common as Wheaties or bottlecaps to some, and elusive to others. I'm happy that this one is tombac...they tend to stay in great shape. I think it's from the first half of the 1800's, but don't quote me on that.
