Wow, thought you guys would like this story. Awesome find.

Archaeologists conducting surveys in Nevada’s Great Basin National Park came upon a gun frozen in time: a .44-40 Winchester rifle manufactured in 1882. It was propped up against a juniper tree.

Pretty awesome condition considering its age. It looks natural sitting there , almost hate to move it.
That's pretty crazy... Not even buried, just sat there for 100+ years! And still decent looking at that.

Is this the story where the tree didn't grow over the rifle?
Wow! My wife has a sign over our headboard on our bed that says "always kiss me goodnight"...I like the rifle alot more. Think she would notice? lol. Wouldn't that look awesome hanging on the wall!! The weathered look adds so much character.
