Guys, consider this...

Many detecting clubs pay property owners for the privilege of hunting their land, which is normally covered by the members' dues. Also...

Look at the DIV hunts, and similar outfits. The owners of those properties are paid very handsomely for their 'kindness', sometimes as much as $10,000 to $15,000. So, not only are the participants help paying that fee, they're also hit with a surcharge, which is how the organizer makes his money.

How do the above 2 scenarios differ from paying directly? Yes, they willfully paid, and weren't being strong armed by a greedy homeowner, but they still paid.

Imagine if I call an escort agency and ask what they charge, and they say $150 for an hour with their best girl. "Hell no, I ain't paying that! Matter of fact, I don't need to pay, at all!!! I'll just take my neighbor, sweet little Mary, who lives down the block from me on a date." Well, after dinner for 2, a movie, and other crap, you're probably down about $100 anyway (if not more). Point is...

You still paid.

So, moral of the post is, if you sometimes want a great hunting spot, or you wanna get laid, somehow, someway, you WILL wind up paying Chuckle
