I'd love to be able to just go and do that. I had surgery in April on my spine so I had to quit my job and stuff and do all I could during recovery to be able to get back to detecting as quick as I could. That was seriously one of my big concerns was how long it would be before i could detect again. Still haven't been able to go back to work. Detecting is definitely more than a hobby to me, it's a passion. Anytime anyone asks me what I'm planning on doing with my life, I'm always tempted to say I just want to go out and metal detect, but unfortunately that would be frowned upon. Just hoping it all works out for the best

I have considered doing the same thing with a small travel trailer .
kids are grown, retired due to 3 car accidents and a motorcycle accident 
all since 2008 . living of annuities so no need for a job. why not just travel and detect.
its pretty much all i do for a few hours a day anyway.
