Got out for about an hour and a half and decided to do the upper side of the riverbank here even though it was a touch overgrown. Got this screamer 30 signal on the SE Pro with the 6x8SEF and just had to dig it because it was too tight a signal. At 5 inches down up comes a vintage Wittenauer mens wrist watch with just a little patch of leather band left on one end. Came out of the hole pretty much like it looks in the photo's and suspected it was some kind of gold.

If anybody knows what an anchor symbol means in front of 18k, please feel free to tell me. There's supposed to be a fraction in front but under magnification it's an anchor like I have pictured on the paper.

Have fun out there guys and gals and HAPPY HUNTING!

Cool find Ed Yes
A really neat find Ed. Bet somebody was sad at losing that one. Don't have a clue about the anchor mark--just wondering if it could indicate waterproof?
Congratulations on the awesome find! Hope you find out more about the symbol. Gl hh!

From what found, you sure it doesn't say Wittnauer? Swiss immigrant watch maker. Hallmarks of anchor is for Birmingham, one of the 4 assay offices for UK. This may or may not be related. Just throwing it out there. We Nick to chime in. He is a master of research. Happy
