Oh yeah, maybe I do remember them but weren't they very thin? Like a small braided type?

Thanks Gerry, it does look old and ornate. Just when I first found it and posted it I didn't see it as a bracelet because I found it just like the photo, straight out and fairly hard or stiff, probably from age.
