The tubes are 7" apart. You only put in one target at a time, so you can test depth on say a dime, then you can add trash or iron later
Very nice clean job I have a huge plastic round planter about 2 feet wide and deep you have given me some ideas on how to make a 3 or 4 hole test bed out of it!

No I haven't tried it. I built it for a friend and he will be testing a number of different brands with it.

Thanks Ed. I'm busy as hell right now with work, building tables and shelves, and dealing with some sudden and unexpected heart troubles. I'm looking forward to spring when I can relax and swing the coil.
