I enjoyed it, excellent lyrics. I used to work with a kid who was a HUGE Pink Floyd fan, and he'd sit in his car on our breaks/lunch listening to song after song. So, this brought back a good memory.
Good song Every morning I wake up feeling the pain of yesterdays work and I put this on Youtube as I get ready to beat the crap out of myself again Happy I am not a religious person but starting the day with this song pushes me up and out the door!

That is my favorite Pink Floyd song , thanks for sharing.
Thanks for some very fond memories Zach, Clad and Dusty. Pink Floyd had the sound I wanted to hear back in the day. Still like it on the classic rock stations. Never was a big Don Williams fan but "Lord I hope....." is one of his best and has a real gentle appeal to it. Hoyt had a lot of talent--singing, writing, acting, and a voice like you may never hear again.

Never heard of Hoyt Axton, but I enjoyed the song very much. He has a helluva voice.

Wow!! you haven't lived yet!!
Check out some more of his tunes. Thunder & Lightening , Peacemaker . Penny Whistle Song , The Pusher , Snowblind,,,,,,,
Wrote a number of big tunes for Creedence , Steppenwolf and Three Dog Night. Mother co-wrote Heartbreak Hotel for Elvis.
I saw him a number of times in the 70's & 80's always in small venues.

I agree that is one of my favorites too.
I was lucky enough to attend a Pink Floyd concert (way back in 70's) and not far from my home.
That's a very good Pink Floyd song Zach. Remember it well. I have their 3 hour DVD from one of their concerts in London and it's great. My favorite of theirs for the last few years has been Learning to Fly. Because it actually has nothing to do with flying. And ice is forming on the tips of my wings.
