Yep, I'm a 'weekend warrior' when it comes to detecting. Saturday & Sundays only for me due to work. So...

Just curious as to what you all do to keep yourself occupied when you're not able to be out dirt fishing?

As for me, I enjoy watching detecting videos on YouTube, scouring the net for new spots to hunt, reading the treasure mags & forums, and making plans for the weekend to hunt...sometimes as early as Monday, lol.

I'm also into blackjack, reading, entrepreneurial endeavors & hanging with my son Happy

What about you?

Research when not hunting (in the winter)

hunt day & night during the season -- sometimes 7 days a week!

Sometimes only a few days a week - just depends on my workload
Detect when oppurtunity arises. Right now am too busy...plus I like to fish also, so will be doing more of that this winter.
For the most part week ends only. Work and honey-dos seem to get in the way a lot ,but I go when I can. If I'm not detecting I'm thinking about it , the rest of the time I just waste. LOL

Hey Ray

what kinda fish you catch out there? And where do you go? Lake/s? The pacific? River/s?

I fly fish for steelies (SteelHead) and specks (Crappies) and sometimes go light tackle fishing for perch or bluegill here in West Michigan

when I lived on the east side of the state I used to fish Perch and Walleyes religiously every season = YUM! lol

P.S.

When I lived in Clearwater FL - I was a commercial fisherman - we went out for 8 to 10 day trips on the gulf for Grouper and Snapper mainly but brought home others for wholesale market
I get out to detect 6.5 days a week even if it's just a drive by at a totlot. I walk and have sex to keep the ticker tuned.
7 days a week, any time i want ...
Mostly during the week, old guy retired. Sometime on weekends but try to save them for the wife.
Well I detect when ever I can which isn't very often. I work 7 days a week like 16 hrs a day. Once in a while I get a day off and that's where I will be unless someone comes over to buy a detector.
I do get some time when the weather isn't to cold but that didn't happen this year its just cold
Hey Wayne,
Fish for damn near anything....but winter finds me fishing mainly trout, stripers and if I can get the time, sturgeon. Sprinfg and summer I mainly fish for bass.
