Found this ring today, It's a souvenir Circus ring from about 1910. George promoted the Novelty rings as he toured cities with the circus. While in these cities those attending the performances could purchase giant's rings for a souvenir. George Auger was born on 27 December 1881 and died 30 November 1922. He was also known as The Cardiff Giant. For many years he played the role of the giant in 'Jack, the Giant Killer'. His height was often claimed to be 8 feet 4 inches, but he probably was not taller than 7 feet 5 inches. It measures about 1-3/8" wide
