Why have I not heard of this before?
If they can compete with Minelab for land mines why not "turf gold" with a little retraining.

Whatever works I'd guess. Not a unique idea though. The French have been using trained pigs to find Truffle mushrooms for centuries. I've often thought that maybe I could take my dog with me after letting him sniff out a box of silver coins somewhere in the apartment and giving him a bacon treat for finding them!

I bet they have a short life span but its a good idea to train animals to sniff out CASH!

My pets are great at sniffing out cash , every time I think I have a little pocket money they run out of food or they need kitty litter.....
   Let's see a metal detector or a rat.... I think I will stick to the detector. I have told my kids for years no rodents in my house , I don't think they would let me get away with having a personal rodent.
