The winner of the Garrett AT Pro was Mr. Larry Crum aka Bullitt from Maryville, Tennessee. Congratulations go out to Mr. Crum. To everyone who participate by making donations to the SMARTS Club I want to thank you very much. We had a great weekend of hunts with over 75 hunters participating. The FMDAC folks were fantastic and all the people who came to the convention were also.
Thank you again and continue watching and reading Treasure Classifieds Forum because the SMARTS club has just begun its quest to give away great prizes and hold fantastic open hunts. Gosh I forgot to tell you about the hunt yesterday. We gave away 2 detectors in route to giving away a total of over $7,000.00 in prizes and planted over 3,000 Mercury dimes in addition to the Garrett AT Pro. Plus today we held a free children's hunt and gave away 2 more detectors, golden Presidential dollar coins, Bi-centennial quarter sets, nickle sets, and many more prizes.
Do you remember the very first ring you found? Well today a seven year old young boy out did all of the adults at the hunt site. In his very first try at metal detecting he found a .925 ring with black onyx framed with diamond chips and rubies. They were teaching him about the machine how to hold it, swing it, etc. and had placed a dime and quarter on the ground so he could hear what it sounded like. They kept trying to get him to swing over the coins and he wouldn't. When they asked him why he said because its beeping over here. They got a digger and let him scratch around in the dirt and out popped the ring.
