Hi, can anyone please help me identify this little button, I dug it up on the river Thames and have been informed that it could be american?
Have tried everywhere but not getting any help, thank you

This is the back
sorry I am no help but what does the back say
Hi, it says "EXTRA RICH", thank you
It looks like a regular civilian button. The back mark puts it somewhere between 1820-40. Its a nice little button!
Thank you so much, it was buried in mud on the Thames, close to tower bridge and tower of London.
Would love to know the history of it and how it got there.
I love it
Thank you again
Alison
"Extra Rich" on the back means that there is gold gilding on the button and you can see that in the photo. No idea how old it is but a nice find none the less.
